Kodiak Bear Paw Quilters offer classes and retreats where members learn new skills and techniques These offerings give members a chance to work together, laugh and have some fun. We have offered multi-day retreats in-town with teachers from off-island and out of town retreats in Port Lions, and recently at Woody Island. Weekend classes held nearer to home are sometimes held at the public library or other large spaces. At these classes, members usually are the teachers and we have learned to use special rulers, to make "schlep" bags, holiday ornaments and recently an ironing-pad and caddy.
